The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a central agency established in 1923 by the Constitution of India that acts to ensure future capability and sustainability within the Public Service in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.  As mandated by the constitution of India, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission consistently aims at creating and nurturing a public service which is independent, impartial, ethical, effective and being capable and enough to meet the new challenges faced by the government and responsive to the growing expectations of the public at large and marginalized sections in particular.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invites applications for filling ung the following posts:

Librarian
Number of Vacancies : 25 (Twentyfive) Posts
Pay Scale : Pay Band-2 of Rs.9,300-34,800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4,600/-.
Qualification: A Degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics.A Degree in Library Science.
Age Limit: 18-30 Years

Assistant Librarian
Number of Vacancies : 02 (Two) Posts
Pay Scale : Pay Band-2 of Rs.9,300-34,800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4,500/-.
Qualification: A degree of B.A., or B.Sc., or B.Com or bB.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamaraj University or B.Litt., of Madras University or BBM or B.Litt of Bharathiar University. A certificate in Library Science or A Diploma in Librarianship.
Age Limit: 18-30 Years
