Punjab Police

The Punjab Police is responsible for policing in the state of Punjab, India. Mission of Punjab Police is the prevention and detection of crime, maintenance of law and order and enforcement of the Constitution of India with an eye on technological advancement and human rights. Punjab Police has renowned teaching and training institutions to mould civilians into capable and effective policemen. Besides Punjab Police Academy at Phillaur, the other police teaching and training institutions is located at Jahan Khelan with the name Police Recruits Training Centre.

Sub Inspector
Number of vacancies : 150 Posts (Male – 120 , Female – 30)
Pay Scale : Rs. 10300-34800 + 3600 Grade Pay
Age : 18-25 Years as on 01.01.2011 (Relaxable as per rules)
Qualification : Graduation or equivalent from a recognised university . It is compulsory to have passed Matriculation exam with Punjabi as one of the subjects

Application Fee :  Enclose a Bank Draft of amount Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST)  to be made in the favour of “Chairman Recruitment Board for Sub Inspector (District Cadre)” payable at Chandigarh.
