The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The Commission consists of a Chairman and ten Members. The terms and conditions of service of Chairman and Members of the Commission are governed by the Union Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1969. The Commission is serviced by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary with two Additional Secretaries, a number of Joint Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other supporting staff.

Deputy Adviser (Power)
Number of Vacancies : 01 post  in  Planning Commission
Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs.7,600 (Grade pay)
Qualifications : Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or Master’s Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics of a recognized University or equivalent.
Age limit : 50 years

Senior Research Officer (Natural Science)
Number of Vacancies : 01 post   in  the Planning Commission
Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs.6,600 (Grade pay)
Qualifications : Master’s Degree in Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics (including statistics) or Botany or Zoology of a recognized University or equivalent.
Age limit : 45 years

Research Officer (Monitoring Agriculture)
Number of Vacancies :  01 post  in Planning Commission
Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs.5,400 (Grade pay)
Qualifications : Master’s Degree in Agriculture of a recognized University or equivalent.
