Job Designation: Judge Attorney General (DIG)

Scale of Pay: Pay Band-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.8,900/-.

Eligibility Conditions:
(i) Holding analogous post in the Pay Band-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.8,900/- or equivalent on regulaar basis in the parent cadre or Department having fifteen years experience in dealing with legal matters/court cases.
(ii) An officer who is member of the State Judicial Service holding analogous post in the Pay Band-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- or equivalent.

1. Additional Judge Attorney General (Commandant)
No. of Posts: 02
Pay Scale: PB-4 of Rs.37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/-
Eligibility:
Officers in the Central Government:
(i) possessing degree in Law from a recognised university are holding the post of Second-in-Command or Commandant in Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force with fifteen years’ Group-A service and having at-least ten years experience in legal affairs; or
(ii) Deputy Commandant of the force having degree in Law and ten years regular service in the grade with ten years experience in legal affairs and having total fifteen years of Group-A service; or
(iii) Serving in Para Military Forces having an Act similar to Indo-Tibetan Border Policew force act 1992 holding analogous post with minimum of fifteen years Group-A service.

2. Deputy Judge Attorney General (Dy Commandant)
No. of Posts: 02
Pay Scale: PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/-
Eligibility:
(i) serving Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force officers with degree in Law and five years Group-A service with minimum two and half years experience in dealing with legal matters/court cases; or
(ii) is or has been an officer of the rank of Major or equivalent in the Department of the Judge Advocate General in Army or Navy or Air Force; or
(iii) is or has been a member of the State Judicial Service for a period of not less than five years.

3. Judge Attorney (Assistant Commandant)
No. of Posts: 02
Pay Scale: PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-
Eligibility:
(i) is or has been an officer of the rank of Captain or equivalent in the department of Judge Advocate General in army or Navy or air Force.
(ii) is or has been an officer of Central or State Government holding the analogous post and is having a degree in Law of a recognised University or equivalent.
