Job Designation: Scientist SB (Non-Destructive)

Scale of Pay: Rs.8000-13500 (Pre-revised)(Revised Pay Band Rs.15600-39100 GP Rs.5400).

Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Physics (Pure/Applied) or Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical Engineering of a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification:
1. Site Incharge Certificate of Radiation from Bhaba Atomic Research Centre level or I/II/III Certificate in one or more of non-destructive testing methods from any recognized Society/Institute.
2. Knowledge of welding technology.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of the applications.

Eligibility Conditions:
(i) Officers under the Central/State Governments/Union Territories/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions or Development Organization/Semi-Government,Statutory or Autonomous Organizations having:-
(a)(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/Department;or
(ii) with two year’s service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.16,400-20,000 or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department.

Educational Qualification:
(i) Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Physics or Degree in Engineering or Metallurgy or Textile or Rubber Technology from a recognized university or equivalent;and

Desirable Qualification:
(i) Doctorate Degree in Chemistry or Physics or Post Graduate Degree in Engineering or Metallurgy or Textile or Rubber Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
(ii) Administrative experience preferably in a laboratory;or
(iii) Research experience in industrial materials and testing methodology.
