Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE)

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. Topical research by the Council enhances public confidence in the ability of forest managers and researchers to successfully handle challenges related to natural resource management.

Candidates are invited for the Walk-in-Interview for the Project Assistant during the project period as follows

Project Assistant
Number of Vacancies : 01 Post
Emoluments : Rs 8,500/- p.m. as per ICFRE guidelines
Qualification : Any Degree with Forestry Science. Preferably M.Sc. Forestry. Experience desirable in the field

The Forest Research Centre (ICFRE), Hyderabad is proposing to conduct research activities under the Research Project sponsored by Andhra Pradesh State Medicinal and Aromatic Board. The above position is temporary and co-tetminus with the project. No TA/DA is provided.

Qualification: M.Sc (Geology)/BE (Mining)Knowledge in Auto VAD, GIS Experience in working in mines.

Senior Project Fellow (SPF)
Number of Positions: 01 (One) Post
Pay Scale: Rs.14000/- PM (Consolidated)
Qualification: M.Sc (Botany/Life Sciences/ Forestry/ Environmental Science) knowledge in Basic computer and report preparation of ElA plans.
Age Limit: 28 Years.

Skilled Worker (SW)
Number of Positions: 01 (One) Post
Pay Scale: Rs. 8500/- PM (Consolidated)
Qualification : BSc (Botany/Life Science/Forestry), Knowledge in basic computers knowledge of typing
Age limit : 28 years

Pay Scale: Rs.12000/-PM
Educational Qualification: 1st Class Master Degree in the following disciplines : Forestry/Botany/ Plant Sciences/ Biotechnology /Bio- Chemistry/ Microbiology/Microbial Biotechnology/ Gene Technology/Genomics/ Agricultural Microbiology/ Environmental Sciences.

Age Limit: 28 years as on 15th November, 2011 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Field Assistants
Number of Positions: 04 (Four)
Pay Scale: Rs. 7,000/- p.m
Educational Qualification: Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) with Science
