The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been established under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 which consolidates various acts & orders that have hitherto handled food related issues in various Ministries and Departments. FSSAI has been created for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.

FSSAI has to start operations at Cochin for the imported food clearance system. For making the office operational, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India requires suitable manpower on contract basis

Technical Officer

Remuneration : Rs 25,000/- p.m. consolidated
Qualifications : Masters Degree or equivalent from a recognised university or institution in field of Chemistry/Bio chemistry/Food Technology/Edible Oil Technology/ Microbiology/Dairy Technology/ Agriculture Sciences/Veterinary Science/Biotechnology or any other subject related to food science.

Admin. Cum Accounts Assistant
No. of Vacancies : 01 Post
Remuneration : Rs 25,000/- p.m. consolidated
Qualifications :  Bachelor’s Degree in commerce/ finance from a recognised University/institution. Should be computer literate and proficient in using accounting software.

Data Entry Operator
No. of Vacancies : 01 Post
Remuneration : Rs 15,000/- p.m. consolidated
Qualifications : Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent or higher examination from a recognised Board or University. Typing speed of 35 words per minute is essential. Typing Test will be administered on the Computer in English only.

Attendant
No. of Vacancies : 01 Post
Remuneration : Rs 10,000/- p.m. consolidated
Qualifications : Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. Note- Candidates acquiring computer proficiency may be given preference.

Age limit for all above positions : 40 years
