This is an autonomous Institute, funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, (Govt. of India) and it is an apex technical Institute for promoting Health and Family Welfare programmes in the country through Education & Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory and Specialized services. Applications are invited from the Citizens of India for the following posts:
1. Laboratory Assistant
Post Code: A-1
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200+2000 (PB-I)
No. of Posts: One
Age Limit: 18- 25 years
Reservation: OBC-PH (HI-Partially Deaf)
Qualification:
Essential Qualifications:
i. Matriculation (with Science) from a recognized Board (Code No.A1)
Desirable Qualification:
i. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology(from recognized Institution only) (Code No.A2)
ii. Experience of working in a Medical Laboratory(Code No.A3) ,if, (i + ii ) use (code A4).
2. Assistant Store Keeper
Post Code: B-2
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200+1900 (PB-I)
No. of Posts: One
Age Limit: 18- 30 years
Reservation: OBC
i. Matriculation or equivalent (Code No.B1)
ii. Experience in dealing or assisting in the processing of cases for procurement of Stores, checking processing of bills, issue and receipt of stores. (Code No.B2),if, (i + ii ) use (code B3).
3. Electrical Supervisor

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200+2800 (PB-I)
No. of Posts: One
Age Limit: 18- 25 years
Reservation: Unreserved
Qualification:
Essential Qualifications:
i. Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board (Code No.C1)
ii. Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution. (Code No.C2)
iii. 3 Years experience in the maintenance of electrical installation and equipment. (Code No.C3)
General:
1. The crucial date for computing age limit may be as on 1.7.2010 Age relaxation for direct recruitment to the candidates belonging to OBC, Physically challenged and Ex-Servicemen etc shall be in accordance with the rules, orders and notifications issued from time to time by the Government of India.
2. Since the posts at Sr. No. 1 & 2 are reserved, therefore application received other than reserved category will not be entertained. However post at Sr. No.3 is under General category.
3. Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved or seek age-relaxation must submit requisite certificate from the competent authority in the prescribed format. Otherwise their claim for reservation or relaxation will be entertained. Candidates claiming OBC status may note that the certificate on creamy layer status should have been obtained within three years before the closing date.
4. The candidates appointed will be governed by new Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 01-01-2004.
5. Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of the candidates will disqualify the candidates.
6. Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications and experience requirement would not entitle a candidate to be called for test/ or interview.
7. No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant either before or after the selection. The decision of the Institute would be final.
8. NIHFW reserves the right to extend the closing date for receipt of applications, and also reserves the rights to either fill up all the posts or some or none of them or postpone without giving any reason.
9. The candidates who desire to apply for more than one post must apply separately for each post.
10. While applying for any post the Applicants should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria mentioned, as on the specified dates, and that the particulars furnished are correct and complete in all respect. Applications received with out prescribed fees, applied for more than one post in a single application form or incomplete or wrongly filled or without complete annexure in any regard or received after due date or not applied in the prescribed application form, will summarily be rejected. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
11. The Institute reserves the right to consider candidates for selection by suitable selection procedure and at its discretion may conduct interview / written test /skill test for all/any of the above posts to select the candidates on the basis of merit. The decision of the Director, NIHFW shall be final.
12. In routine job the employees are required to work/carry out day to day job on Computers, therefore preference will be given to candidates having operational knowledge of Computer.
13. NIHFW will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit in submission of application within specified time.
14. Candidates working in Govt. /Semi Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations must apply “Through Proper Channel.” However, they may send an advance copy of their application form, along with examination fee before the last date of submission of application form. However, the forwarding of application from their employer is must and it should reach to the NIHFW within reasonable period, other wise advance application received by the office will be treated as invalid.
15. The interested candidates (Indian Citizen only) may apply on prescribed ICR Application Form. The instructions for filling application form (ICR) are given in our website. Applicant must read carefully the instructions before filling the ICR application form. Application in any other form will be summarily rejected.
How To Obtained ICR Application Form:
1. Purchase of paper application form (ICR) by hand from the Accounts Office of NIHFW: The candidates may purchase the “ICR Application” Form from the Office of Accounts Officer, NIHFW by payment of Rs. 40/-(Rupees Forty only) in cash before the last date.

2. Purchase of paper application form (ICR) by post:
The candidates who desired to purchase the application form by Dak/post should send a written application to the “Dy.Director (Admn.), National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Baba Gangnath Marg, Munirka, New Delhi – 110 067” by post along with payment of ICR application cost Rs. 40/- (Rupees forty only) through Demand Draft in favour of Director, NIHFW, drawn on State Bank of India only payable at New Delhi with full name, address and name of the post applied on the reverse side of Demand Draft and a self addressed envelop of A-4 size so as to reach before 16.12.2010 the sale of applications forms (ICR) by post. NIHFW will not be responsible for any postal delay / loss in transit in submission of application within specified time.
How To Apply:
Completed applications form (ICR) along with attested photocopies of educational qualifications, proof of belonging to OBC/PH (Physically Handicap) Category and experience certificates, fees should be dispatched by speed post so as reach to the “Dy. Director (Admn.), NIHFW, Baba Gang Nath Marg, Munirka, New Delhi-110067” latest by 31.12.2010. The envelope should be super scribed as “Application for the post of ______________________”. Application must be accompanied with prescribed fees of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) by a way of Demand Draft in favour of Director, NIHFW, drawn on State Bank of India only, payable at New Delhi with full name, address, application number on reverse of Demand Draft. Physical handicapped and women candidates will be exempted from the fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.
