Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU)

Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existance. Ever since its inception, the university has been trying to achieve excellence and fulfill the objectives as envisaged in the University Act. The University got academic recognition under section 2(f) from the University Grants Commission on 28th March, 1985 and started functioning from 1st April, 1985. The University was converted into a Central University with effect from 9th April 2007 as per notification of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Applications are invited for the following posts in the “Center with Potential for Excellence in a Particular Area (Biodiversity) under Faculty of Life Science. The posts are temporary and shall be terminated at the end of the CPEPA in Biodiversity phase –II project. Duration of the project is five years.

Junior Research Fellow

Fellowship : for NET (JRF) qualified candidate: Rs.16, 000.00 plus 10%HRA pm; Non NET candidates: Rs.14, 000.00 plus10% HRA per month
Qualifications : M.Sc in Zoology/Botany/Life Science/ Biotechnology with good academic records. Specialization having Reproductive Endocrinology/ physiology & Biochemistry/Entomology/Fish Biology/ Wild life Biology/ Plant taxonomy/Microbiology/Ecology/Cell Biology/ nutritional biochemistry/toxicology is desirable.

Field cum Laboratory Attendant
No. of Vacancies : 05 Posts
Salary: Rs. 7,400.00 (Consolidated) per month
Qualifications : H.S.L.C passed and having basic knowledge on science. Candidates have to maintain the laboratory and carry out extensive field work in Arunachal Pradesh. Candidates having experience of working in research laboratories/ academic institute is preferable.

Remuneration :
1. For private persons/ retired Government employees: will be decided at the time of interview..
2. For In-service Government employees: Actual Pay and Allowances being paid in their parent department.
