The National Physical Laboratory of India (NPL India), situated in New Delhi, is the measurement standards laboratory of India. It maintains standards of SI units in India and calibrates the national standards of weights and measures. The main aim of the laboratory is to strengthen and advance physics-based research and development for the overall development of science and technology in the country.

NPL invites Online applications for the following posts :

Senior Principal Scientist/  Principal Scientist  : 04 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs.8700/ Rs.8900/-Senior Scientist/  Scientist  : 36 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.6600 / Rs. 7600/-

Application Fee :   Demand  Draft  for       Rs.100/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “Director, National  Physical  Laboratory”       payable at New Delhi. Candidates of SC/ST   category,   physically       handicapped, regular employees of CSIR, women and those staying/applying from       outside India are exempted. The  following  details       must  be  filled  up  on  back  side  of  Demand  Draft   (i)       Candidate’s Name, (ii) Candidate’s  Category,  (iii)  Post  Code       Applied For.
