Prathama bank, the first Regional Rural Bank of the country was established on 2nd Otcober,1975with its Head Office at Moradabad as per the ordinance issued by the Government of India in 1975 and was sponsored by Syndicate Bank. The Bank is presently serving the people in the districts of Moradabad, Jyotiba Phule Nagar and Rampur of Western Uttar Pradesh. The owner ship of the Bank has been vested with Govt. of India (50%), Syndicate Bank (35%) and Govt. Of Uttar Pradesh (15%).
