The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF)

The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF) is the nodal agency in the administrative structure of the Central Government for the planning, promotion, co-ordination and overseeing the implementation of India’s environmental and forestry policies and programmes. The primary concerns of the Ministry are implementation of policies and programmes relating to conservation of the country’s natural resources including its lakes and rivers, its biodiversity, forests and wildlife, ensuring the welfare of animals, and the prevention and abatement of pollution. While implementing these policies and programmes, the Ministry is guided by the principle of sustainable development and enhancement of human well-being.

Ministry of Environment and Forests invites applications for the following posts:

Judicial Member
Number of Positions: 07 (Seven)
Pay Scale: Rs. 80,000/-
Educational Qualification: A person shall not be qualified for the appointment as a Judicial Member of the Tribunal unless he is, or has been (a) a Judge of the Supreme Court of India; or (b) Judge of the High Court.

Expert Member
Number of Positions: 07 (Seven)
Pay Scale: Rs. 80,000/-
Educational Qualification: A person shall not be qualified for appointment as an Expert Member, unless he:
(a) has a degree in Master of Sciences ( in physical sciences or life sciences) with a Doctorate degree or Master of Engineering or Master of Technology and has an experience of 15 ( fifteen) years in the relevant field including 5 ( five) years practical experience in the field of environment and forests ( including pollution control, hazardous substance management, environment impact assessment, climate change management, biological diversity management and forest conservation) in a reputed National level institution; or (b) has administrative experience of 15 ( fifteen) years including experience of 5 ( five) years in dealing with environment matters in the Central or a State Government or in reputed national or State level  institution.
