Sports Authority of India (SAI)

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is a body set up by the Government of India. It was created in 1984 to help promote sport throughout the country. Presently, it has seven regional centres at Bangalore, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Sonepat, Delhi, Mumbai and Imphal and two sub-centres at Guwahati and Aurangabad. Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala, the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Thiruvananthapuram are the major sports institutes run by this body. It has also a High Altitude Training Centre at Shillaroo, Himachal Pradesh.

Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications from eligible citizens of India for the following posts as mentioned below :

Coach Grade – III
Number of vacancies : 100
Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800 + Grade pay Rs. 4200 (PB-2)
Qualification : Diploma in Coaching from NS NIS patiala , SAI or from any other recognised Indian / Foreign University OR Participation in Olympics / Asian Games / World Championship with Certificate Course in Coaching . Desirable : B.P.Ed.
Disciplines : Archery – 09; Athletics – 02; Boxing – 20; Cycling – 02; Fencing – 05; Hockey – 06; Gymnastic – 01; Judo – 04; Kayaking & Canoeing – 03; Rowing – 02; Shooting – 07; Swimming & Driving – 03; Taekwondo – 17; Vollyball – 02; Weightlifting – 03; Wrestling – 07; Wushu -07;
Age Limit : 30 Years as on 01.08.2011
