The Bank is named after great visionary Sir M.Visveshvaraya who was the architect of the world-renowned Krishna Raja Sagar(K.R.S.) Dam, and is considered as the life line of Mandya District. The Banking operations started from 1986. As on date 30 branches spread over all the 7 taluks of the District are catering to the Banking needs of the District particularly rural community.
