National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) is an Indian education and research facility located at Osmania University in Hyderabad. The institute operates under the Indian Council of Medical Research  for India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Its mission is to study nutritional needs in order to meet goals set by the government of India for its national nutrition policies.

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the following post on the ad hoc research project entitled “Role of dietary fatty acids in inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress in stromal vascular cells: Implications in the development of obesity associated insulin resistance” funded by DST at this Institute. The essential qualification, experience, consolidated Fellowship and service tenure are as under:

Senior Research Fellow
Number of Vacancies : 01 Post (UR)
Consolidated Fellowship : Rs.18,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.(Fixed) without any other allowances
Qualification : M.Sc. 1st Class in biotechnology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences / Nutrition with 2 years of Research experience.
Desirable : Ph.D. or submitted Ph.D. thesis along with experiences in routine molecular biology techniques like real time PCR
Age limit : below 35 years old
Tenure : Initially for 1 year and it will be renewable based on the performance.
The Maximum period is three years as per the DST norms (funding agency).
