Project Directorate on Poultry (PDP)

The Project Directorate on Poultry (PDP) is one of the constituent research institutes of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an autonomous multidisciplinary Research & Development Organization financially supported by Govt. of India. The Directorate was set up as a coordinating unit of All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Poultry in 1970 at Izatnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The objectives of the Directorate are to coordinate research at AICRP centers located across the country and conduct research on the development and improvement of chicken lines for commercial and rural poultry production.

Research Associate
Number of Vacancies : 01 Post
Pay Scale : Rs.23,000-00 +H.R.A. for Master Degree Holders and Rs.24,000-00 + HRA for Doctoral Degree Holders as per (ICAR) norms.
Qualification : Post graduation with two years experience or Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Microbiology/Biotechnology). Isolation and identification of poultry pathogens.
Desirable: Knowledge in Animal disease forecasting, computer applications. Skills in molecular and immunological techniques.
Age limit : 40 years for Men 45 years for Women
Date of Interview : 15-06-2012 at 11.30 A.M.

Senior Research Fellow
Number of Vacancies : 01 Post
Pay Scale : Rs.16,000-00 + H.R.A. Per month
Qualification :  Post graduation in Life Sciences/ Veterinary Science.
Desirable:  Poultry farm operations, computer application and weather data collection.
Age limit : 35 years for Men 40 years for Women
Date of Interview : 16-06-2012 at 11.30 A.M.

How to apply:
Walk–in–Interview will be held at this Directorate for the following Co-terminus/temporary posts under the NPCC Project entitled “Assessment of Impact of Climate change on Poultry Production” during period 2012-13 or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates may register their candidature from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
