The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (Hindi: ?????? ????????? ??????? ??? ???????????? ???????, Malayalam: ?????? ???????? ??????? ????????? ??????????) or IIST is India’s national institute for the study and development of space science, located at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The institute was started functioning at Antennae Training Facility (ATF) Campus, under Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala. A state-of-the-art permanent campus is coming up near Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre in Valiyamala, Thiruvananthapuram with an observatory in the picturesque Ponmudi Hills, Thiruvanathapuram

Technical Assistant ‘A’
Number of Vacancies : 05 Posts (UR-01,OBC-03,SC-01)
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800/- + Grade Pay of Rs 4,600/-
Qualification : First class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science
Age limit : 35 years

Library Assistant ‘A’
Number of Vacancies : 05 Posts (UR-01,OBC-03,SC-01)
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800/- + Grade Pay of Rs 4,600/-
Qualification : First Class Degree + First Class Master’s degree in Library Science/ Library & Information Science ( MLISc) or equivalent.
Age limit : 35 years

Assistant Professor in Avionics
Pay Scale : Rs.15600 -39100/- (PB 3) with Grade Pay of  Rs. 7600/-+ HRA & DA at applicable rates.,
Qualification : B.Tech    in Electronics and Communication and M. Tech in RF and Microwave    with PhD in relevant area.
Age limit : 40 years as on 02/07/2012,
