A. Professor :

Scale of Pay : Pay band Rs. 37400 to 67000 + Grade Pay Rs. 10000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualifications(s) in concerned/allied/relevant discipline relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work, with minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (b) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (c) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, technologymediated teaching-learning process.
B. Associate Professor :
No of post : 01 post,
Age Limit : As per UGC norms.
Scale of Pay : Pay band Rs. 37400 to 67000 + Grade Pay Rs. 9000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) Good academic record with Ph. D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration. (b) A Master’s degree in a subject relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. (c) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work of high quality and a minimum of five publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
C. Assistant Professor :
No of post : 05 posts,
Age Limit : As per UGC norms.
Scale of Pay : Pay band Rs. Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a subject relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like the SLET/SET.

Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a subject relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like the SLET/SET.

Junior Residents Positions 2010 – Chandigarh Administration
Chandigarh Administration Recruits MBBS/BDS candidates in 2010
Applications are invited from the MBBS/BDS graduates, for filling up of various posts of Junior Residents, for a maximum period of one year for the session starting from 01.01.2011 and also preparing a panel for future vacancies occurring during the remaining period of the year ending 31.12.2011.

(i) MBBS/BDS
(ii) Registered with State Medical Council Register/Medical Council of India.
(iii) The candidates who have already completed their one year rotatory internship/likely to complete internship on 31.12.2010 are eligible to apply. 3.
TENURE OF POSTS :
The above said posts are tenure posts and will be filled up for a maximum period of one year i.e. upto 31.12.2011 subject to satisfactory performance of their duties. The Junior Residency, if done, in any Central institution/hospital, the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of one year, so as the maximum period of Junior Residency should not exceed one year.
Upper Age Limit As on: 01.01.2010
The upper age limit shall be 30 years for MBBS/BDS candidates for Junior Residents.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39,100/- carrying grade pay of Rs.5400/- + Other Allowances
as admissible.
Application Fee:
The Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.25/- in case of SC candidate, if applying for reserved category), non refundable, through Demand Draft payable at Chandigarh in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector – 32, Chandigarh should be sent alongwith the Application.
Other Terms & Conditions:
i) The number of posts are tentative and can be increased or decreased. The department reserves the right to withdraw the post at any time, without assigning any reason or without any notice whatsoever.
ii) The candidates who have already completed their tenure of Junior Residency are not eligible to apply.
iii) The Junior Residents, who have earlier worked in this institute and their services, were dispensed with on account of misconduct or otherwise by this institute, are not eligible to apply against these posts.
iv) In order to short-list the candidates, a Written Test will be held on 14.12.2010 at 11.00 AM. in the Auditorium Hall, College Building, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32-A, Chandigarh.
v) The Roll Nos. of the eligible candidates for written test will be displayed on the notice board on 13.12.2010.
vi) The result of the written test will be displayed on the notice board on 16.12.2010.
vii) The original documents of the candidates will be checked on 21.12.2.10 at 12.30 noon onwards in Committee Room. Hence the candidates are requested to be present well in time before 12.30 noon.
Viii) The interview for these posts will be held on 21.12.2010 at 2-30 PM at GMCH in Room No. 210, Level- II, Block-D, Sector-32-B, Chandigarh.
iX) The candidates, who have completed/going to complete internship after passing MBBS/BDS at Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, upto 31.12.2010 should clearly mention in their Application Form about their being Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh Cadre candidate. They will be given preference and also they are exempted from the written test.
x) Incomplete applications/applications received without attested copies of above mentioned certificates and those received after due date and time and application fee will be summarily rejected.
xi) No TA/ DA will be paid for appearing in the written test and for attending the interview.

The applications duly completed in all respects in the prescribed format alongwith the attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, date of birth, character certificate, medical registration certificate with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council, internship completion certificate, Mark Sheet of MBBS First Prof. Second Prof, Final Prof. Part-I and II, Caste/Community Certificate issued by the competent authority alongwith latest photograph and application fees of Rs. 100/- (25/- for SC/ST candidates if applying for reserved category) in the shape of Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh drawn in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector – 32, Chandigarh should be submitted in the office of the undersigned i.e. Room No. 228 A(Dairy & Despatch Section), Level II, Block D latest by 06.12.2010 upto 5.00 PM.
