APRIL 2012 TO JOIN AS SENIOR NON COMMISSIONED OFFICER
IN GROUP ‘X’ (EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR) TRADE

Indian Air Force invites applications from unmarried/married male Indian citizens
(citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in April 2012 to join as Senior Non
Commissioned Officer in Group ‘X’ (Education Instructor) trade. THE SELECTION TEST IS
NOT FOR SELECTION AS OFFICERS/ PILOTS/ NAVIGATORS.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
(a) Graduate in Arts, Commerce or Science with B Ed degree or two years’
teaching experience in a Government Recognised School/College. Candidates should
have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation as well as B Ed.
OR
(b) Post-Graduate in MA English or MSc in Mathematics, Physics, Computer
Science or MCA with B Ed degree or two years’ teaching experience in a
Government recognised School/College.

DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK:
(a) For Graduate candidates – Must be born between 01 OCTOBER 1987 to
31 AUGUST 1992 (Both days inclusive).
(b) For Post-Graduate candidates – Must be born between 01 OCTOBER 1984 to
31 AUGUST 1992 (Both days inclusive).

MEDICAL STANDARDS :-
(a) Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
(b) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(c) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(d) Vision: Minimum Visual Standard: Unaided 6/36 and correctable to at
least 6/9 for each eye with spectacles, Dioptectric power not exceeding + 3.5 including
astigmatism. Full field of vision and Defective safe colour vision CP-II/III.
(e) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
(f) Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced
whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
