Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor or its equivalent positions in various departments of the University Campuses at Tiruchirappalli (Main Campus), Ariyalur, Panruti, Pattukkottai and Thirukkuvalai. The details of eligibility and qualifications for the posts called for are as follows
Assistant Professor
Qualification:
BE/BTech and ME/MTech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in BE/BTech or ME/MTech, BE/BTech and ME / MTech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in BE/ BTech or ME / MTech or BE/BTech and MCA with First class or equivalent in either BE / BTech or MCA or MCA with first class or equivalent with two years relevant experienc
Desirable:
A doctorate degree in the field of specialization
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP 6000 (Revised)

General Conditions:
1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor or its equivalent positions in various departments of the University Campuses at Tiruchirappalli (Main Campus), Ariyalur, Panruti, Pattukkottai and Thirukkuvalai.
2. Applications from persons who do not possess the minimum prescribed qualifications on 30.11.2010 will be summarily rejected.
3. If necessary, screening test may be conducted and the candidates will be called for an interview by following reservation norms.
4. The University reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements.
5. The rule of reservation in appointments will be followed as per the Government of Tamil Nadu norms.
6. If suitable and qualified candidates belonging to Arunthathiyar are not available for selection for appointment in the turn allotted to them, the turn allotted shall go to other SC candidates within the SC category on merit basis as per the G.O (Ms) No.61 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department dated 29.05.2009
7. Reservation for Women and Special categories such as Physically Challenged, Widows etc., is applicable as per the current norms in the roster.
8. If no qualified and suitable women candidates are available for selection against the Posts reserved for them, those posts will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.
9. Candidates should enclose a valid Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli payable at Tiruchirappalli for Rs.1000/- for all categories (Rs. 500/- for ST/SC/SCA category) as non-refundable application fee and attested certificate copies for proof of Educational qualifications, Age, Experience, Community and Special categories.
10. Candidates should produce originals certificates mentioned above at the time of interview. Failure to produce may result, in not being interviewed.

Candidates should enclose a valid Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli payable at Tiruchirappalli for Rs.1000/- for all categories (Rs. 500/- for ST/SC/SCA category) as non-refundable application fee and attested certificate copies for proof of Educational qualifications, Age, Experience, Community and Special categories. The envelope superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………………. IN THE DEPARTMENT OF …………………..” containing THREE COPIES of the duly filled in application, application fee and all other enclosures should be sent to THE REGISTRAR, ANNA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI – 620 024 on or before 03.01.2011 at 5.00 PM.
