1. Deputy Registrar (01) (Administration)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB3: Rs. 15,60039,100/ Grade Pay: Rs. 7,600/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 45 Years
Essential Qualification:
1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC sevenpoint scale.
And
2. Five years of experience as a Lecturer in a College or University with experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education.
OR
Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post.
Desirable:
Participation in UGCsponsored Management Development Programmes / Orientation Programmes.
2. Executive Engineer (01) (Engineering Cell) [Please see NOTE(5) below]
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB3: Rs. 15,60039,100/ Grade Pay: Rs. 6,600/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 45 Years
Essential Qualification:
1. A first class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. A minimum of 8 years experience in civil works viz. construction and maintenance of RCC framed structure building, roads, public health engineering services and works such as water supply and drainage disposal. Out of the above, at least 5 years experience should be in a responsible position in the rank of Assistant Engineer of State / Central Govt.
3. The candidates having experience in CPWD procedures, knowledge of computer applications and structural design software may be preferred
3. Technical Officer (01) (Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB3: Rs. 15,60039,100/ Academic Grade Pay: Rs. 6,000/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 30 Years
Essential Qualification:
B. E. / B. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology or MCA with 60% marks or equivalent grade.
OR
Three (03) years Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering with minimum 60% marks and at least 8 years experience in the relevant field at the level of Senior Technical Assistant.
4. Technical Officer (01) (Instrumentation Maintenance Facility Centre)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: Rs. 10,000/PM (Fixed) Not exceeding
Age Limit: 30 Years
Essential Qualification:
Three (03) years Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electronics Engineering with at least two years experience in maintenance of equipment.
5. Junior Engineer (01)* (Engineering Cell)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB2: Rs. 9,30034,800/ Grade Pay: Rs. 4,200/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 30 Years
Essential Qualification:
1. Three (03) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized institute
2. Minimum three (03) years experience in the line in a reputed organisation.
6. Senior Technical Assistant (01) (Dept. of Mass Communication & Journalism)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB2: Rs. 9,30034,800/ Grade Pay: Rs. 4,200/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 30 Years
Essential Qualification:
Three (03) years Diploma in Sound Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering with minimum five (5) years experience in the related field.
Desirable:
Experience in managing electronic equipments including handling as well as maintenance of AudioVideo production. Candidates having training in AudioVideo production, Graphic Design, Animation may be preferred.
7. Technical Assistant (01) (Dept. of Civil Engineering)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB1: Rs. 5,20020,200/ Grade Pay: Rs. 2,800/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 27 Years
Essential Qualification:
Three (03) years Engineering Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least one (01) year experience in Civil Engineering related works.
8. Laboratory Assistant (01) (Dept. of Chemical Sciences)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB1: Rs. 5,20020,200/ Grade Pay: Rs. 2,000/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 27 Years
Essential Qualification:
10+2 pass in Science with Chemistry as a subject and two (2) years experience in similar job in a college / university laboratory or equivalent organisation.
9. Laboratory Assistant (01) (Dept. of Food Processing Technology)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB1: Rs. 5,20020,200/ Grade Pay: Rs. 2,000/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 27 Years
Essential Qualification:
10+2 pass in Science with Chemistry as a subject and two (2) years experience in similar job in a college / university / food industry / food testing lab.
Desirable:
Candidates with experience in handling sophisticated analytical equipments related to food analysis may be preferred.
10. Laboratory Assistant (02) (Dept. of Physics)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB1: Rs. 5,20020,200/ Grade Pay: Rs. 2,000/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 27 Years
Essential Qualification:
10+2 pass in Science with Physics as a subject and two (2) years experience in similar job in a college / university laboratory or equivalent organisation.
11. Laboratory Assistant (01) (Dept. of Energy)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB1: Rs. 5,20020,200/ Grade Pay: Rs. 2,000/Not exceeding
Age Limit: 27 Years
Essential Qualification:
10+2 pass in Science with Biology as a subject and two (2) years experience in similar job in a college / university laboratory or equivalent organisation. It is to be noted that mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria shall not entitle a person for consideration. The decision of the Screening Committee(s) appointed for the purpose of shortlisting candidates from amongst the applications received, will be final and binding. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up any of the vacancies or to increase the number of posts, as required. Completed applications in the prescribed proforma along with necessary enclosures are to reach “The Registrar, Tezpur University, Napaam784 028” on or before 10.01.2011. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed “Application for the post of … (name of the post)”. A nonrefundable application fee of Rs. 200/( Exempted for SC/ST/PWD) in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of The Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur, must be submitted along with the application. The Demand Draft should not be drawn before the date of issue of this advertisement and should remain valid at least for six months. Candidates must write their names and the post applied for on the reverse of the Bank Draft. Candidate(s) willing to apply for more than one post must submit separate application and fee, if any, for each post. Application(s) received after the last date [due to postal delay or any other reason(s) thereof] or incomplete in any form or without the application fee, shall be summarily rejected. Those in employment must apply through proper channel or submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer. However, they may send a copy of the application as ADVANCE COPY to be followed by the original one through proper channel.
