National Council of Educational Research and Training, NCERT, an apex organization for Educational Research, Teacher Training and Development of Curriculum and Instructional material in school education, invites applications for various academic positions for its constituent units all over India. These posts are transferable amongst the constituent units of the Council located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong. The candidates, apart from qualifications and experience prescribed by the UGC and KVS may also possess specialization in the subject areas as desirable. NCERT invites applications for various academic positions for its constituents all over India. :
 
I. Associate Professor :
No of Post : 03 posts in various subjects,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 – 67000 with AGP-9000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. ii. A Master?s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution / Industry.
Age limit : As per UGC norms.

II. Assistant Professor :
No of Post : 13 posts in various subjects,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 – 39100 with AGP-6000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master?s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Age limit : As per UGC norms.

III. Headmaster :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 – 39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Master?s Degree from recognized University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate. ii) B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree.
Age limit : Between 35 to 50 years relaxable upto five years in the case of Councils employees.

IV. Headmistresss (Nursery) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 – 34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i. A Graduate Degree with second class (50% marks) and training in Early Childhood Education Certificate, Diploma, Degree with second class (50% marks)
ii. A minimum of Five years experience in working with pre-school children.
Desirable: Certificate/Degree in Music, Dance or Art.
Age limit : 30 years relaxable upto five years in the case of Councils employees.

V. PGT Chemistry :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 – 34800 grade pay Rs. 4800/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; OR Masters Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in Chemistry/Bio Chemistry.ii) B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from recognized University. iii) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English.
Age limit : 40 years relaxable upto five years in the case of Councils employees.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application.

VI. Nursery School Teacher :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 – 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Nursery Teacher Training Certificate from a recognized institution or equivalent.
Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi; and Experience as Nursery Teacher.
Age limit : 25 years relaxable upto five years in the case of Councils employees.
