National Investigation Agency – New Delhi – Police Job Openings 2011

National Investigation Agency is Hiring Dy.Supdt. / Inspector / Sub-Inspector / Constable / Head Constable Posts in 2010, New Delhi

Deputation To NIA

Filling up the posts of Dy.SsP, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, ASIs, Head Constables and Constables in NIA on deputation basis from the State Police and Central Paramilitary Forces. The National Investigation Agency has been created under the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 with a view to investigate the offences related to terrorist activities and other related crimes. The NIA has a country wide jurisdiction. Considering the mandate and its all India jurisdiction, we propose to induct officers in NIA from various States, both at the supervisory as well as field levels. We presently have a large number of vacancies in the ranks of Dy.SP, Inspectors and Sub-Inspector, ASI, Head Constable and Constable. We require officers who have experience of handling terrorism related cases and collection and analysis of terrorism related intelligence.

The rules approved by the Government for induction on deputation in the ranks of Dy.SP, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, ASI, Head Constable and Constable are given below:

(1) Dy.Supdt. of Police
Eligibility:
(a) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/deptt; or
(b) with three years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.9300 – 34800 with Grade Pay Rs.4600 or equivalent in the parent cadre/deptt.
(c) Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
(d) Three years experience in Investigation of Criminal cases / Intelligence gathering.

(2) Inspector
Eligibility:
(a) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/deptt.
or
(b) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 or equivalent in the parent cadre/deptt;
(c) Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
(d) Three years experience in Investigation of Criminal cases / Intelligence gathering.

(3) Sub-Inspector
Eligibility:
(a) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/deptt.
or
(b) with six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800 or equivalent in the parent cadre/deptt;
(c) Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
(d) Two years experience in Investigation of Criminal cases / Intelligence gathering.

(4) Asstt. Sub-Inspector
Eligibility:
(a) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/deptt.
or
(b) Head Constable in the scale of pay of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of rs. 2400/- with five years of service in the grade in the State or Central Police Organization;
(c) Essential Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent;
(d) At least two years experience in the field of Investigation of Criminal cases / Intelligence work or Information Technology management.

(5) Head Constable
Eligibility:
Officers of the Central or State Police Organization or Investigation or Intelligence agency holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre / department.

(6) Constable
Eligibility:
Officers of the Central or State Police Organization or Investigation or Intelligence agency holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre / department and having experience of at least five years, preferably in the field of
investigation or intelligence or computer or driving.

Notes:
The above eligibility criteria entails induction on deputation in the ranks of Dy. SP, Inspector, Sub-Inspector and Asstt. Sub-Inspector officials holding analogous ranks and also at one rank up gradation for eligible officers holding one rank lower. Details of eligibility criteria are also available in the NIA website (www.nia.gov.in). The officials who join NIA on deputation shall be paid deputation allowance @ 10% of the Band Pay plus Grade Pay and special incentive allowance @ 25% of the Band Pay plus Grade Pay and D.A. thereon.
