Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre is Recruiting PG / Ph.D (Experimental/ Nuclear/ High Energy Physics) candidates in 2011, Kolkata

VECC invites applications for the following posts:

Research Associate-1 (RA-1) / Research Associate (RA)-Posts-1
Pay Scale: For RA-1: Rs. 22,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Thousand only) per month (Consolidated) Plus Contingency Grant of Rs.20,000/- per annum.
For RA: Rs. 21,000/- (Rupees Twenty one thousand only) per month (Consolidated) Plus Contingency Grant of  20,000/- per annum.
Age: Max 40 years as on 1st November 2010. However, SC/ST/OBC candidate(s) will get upper age relaxation as per extant rules of Govt. of India.
Qualification:
(a) Candidates having Ph.D. degree in experimental/ nuclear/high energy physics.
or
(b) Candidates who have submitted their thesis in the field of experimental/nuclear/high energy physics and are yet to   receive their Ph.D. degree. Candidates should have experience in one of the following areas :
(a) In the field of gas filled detectors in High Energy Physics and Nuclear Physics experiments.
(b) In designing, building and operating large gas filled high granularity detectors.
