Calcutta High Court

Calcutta High Court is the oldest High Court in India. It was established as the High Court of Judicature at Fort William on 1 July 1862 under the High Courts Act, 1861. It has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 63. Despite the name of the city having officially changed from Calcutta to Kolkata in 2001, the old name is retained by the court as it is an institution.

Applications are invited from Indian Citizens with knowledge in Bengali as well as ability to communicate in Hindi for appointment to the posts of (1) Cook and (2) Sweeper in the High Court Guest House at “Bijan Bhavan”, HA-334, Salt Lake, Calcutta – 700 091, on purely ad-hoc and contractual basis

Cook

Salary : Rs, 6,600/- per month
Qualifications : Class VIII passed with knowledge in Bengali and ability to communicate in Hindi. Experience in cooking, both Veg. & Non-Veg. items would be preferred
Age limit : 18-32 years

Sweeper
No. of Vacancies : 01 Post
Salary : Rs, 6,600/- per month
Qualifications : Class VIII passed with knowledge in Bengali and ability to communicate in Hindi.
Age limit : 18-32 years
