Assam Rifles
The Assam Rifles raised as Cachar Levy in 1835 is the oldest Central Para Military Force in India. The Force was raised mainly to guard the alluvial plains of Assam from the wild and unruly tribes inhabiting the surrounding hill tracts. This was the earliest embodied unit of what eventually developed into the Assam Rifles. There are currently 46 battalions of Assam Rifles under the control of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and they perform many roles including the provision of internal security under the control of the army through the conduct of counter insurgency and border security operations, provision of aid to the civil power in times of emergency, and the provision of communications, medical assistance and education in remote areas.

It is proposed to fill up following posts on contractual basis for a project under national manpower development scheme of National Mental Health Programme (NMHP). i) First or Second Class Master’s Degree in Nursing. 2 years teaching & research experience as Nursing Tutor in a Mental Hospital, /recognized teaching Institutions. Experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the selection committee if a person is found otherwise suitable.

CIT, Kokrajhar invites applications from Indian nationals, possessing academic background, commitment to quality teaching for the faculty positions at the level of Associate Professor (on deputation); Asstt. Professor (on Deputation/Contract) and System Administrator (on Deputation/Contract) in various Disciplines of the Institute.
1. Assistant Professor (On Deputation / Contract)
* No. of posts: 25 Posts
* Pay-Scale: Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP 6000/-
* Qualification – BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant subject with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech
2. Associate Professor (On Deputation)
* No. of posts: 14 Posts
* Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + AGP 9,000/-
* Qualification – Same as Assistant Professor as applicable and Phd or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
3. System Administrator (On Deputation / Contract)
* No. of post: 01 Post
* Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP 6000/-
* Qualification – B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science or any other engineering discipline / MCA
Application Fee: Application fee for various faculty positions is Rs.600 for GE/OBC and Rs.200 for SC/ST should be sent in the form of Bank Draft addressed to “CIT Kokrajhar” payable at SBI
