The Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) is situated near Vidyadharpur village on the Cuttack-Paradip Road, Orissa, India. It is one of the premier national research institutes under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The Institute’s scientists have many research results to their credit in various disciplines of rice research, including: plant breeding and genetics, plant pathology and mycology, entomology, nematology, physiology, biochemistry, blue green algae, food technology. The research institute is divided into various departments, each headed by a Departmental Head. After the implementation of the Gajendragadkar Commission report, working conditions (in terms of pay) improved greatly for the research scientists. Most of the scientists stay in houses in the campus.

Educational Qualification: Post Graduation in Plant Breeding & Genetics/Plant Bio technology/Agricultural Bio Technology/Botany.
Desirable: Work Exp in Plant Breeding , Plant Physiology /Plant Molecular Biology.
Age Limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
Agril. Field Operator
Number of Positions : 06 (Six)
Pay Scale : Rs. 6000/-PM (Fixed)
Educational : +2 Vocational (Crop Production)
Desirable : one year experience in the field of crop/agriculture research
Age limit : 30 years for men and 35 years for women
