The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is a multidisciplinary Institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the frontier area of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The Lunatic Asylum which came into being in the latter part of the 19th Century was renamed as Mental Hospital in 1925 by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. This hospital and All India Institute of Mental Health established in 1954 by Government of India were amalgamated on 27th December 1974, and thus was formed the autonomous National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS).

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences invites applications for the following posts:

Junior Research Fellow
Number of Positions: 01 (One)
Pay Scale: Rs.12, 000/- p.m. + 30% HRA
Educational Qualification: M.Sc., degree in Biochemistry with minimum 60% marks. Should have minimum two years research experience in analytical biochemistry and molecular biology
Desirable: CSIR-NET Qualified candidates
Age Limit: 28 Years.

Lab Assistant
Number of Positions: 01 (One)
Pay Scale: Rs.8,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc degree in Biochemistry
Age Limit: 28 Years.

Location : Bangalore
