MECON Limited, formerly known as (Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants (India) Limited) is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Steel of the Government of India. It began in 1959 as the Central Engineering and Designing Bureau (CEDB) of the Hindustan Steel Limited (HSL), the first public sector steel company.  Subsequently, CEDB grew as Metallurgical and Engineering Consultant (MECON), a subsidiary of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in 1973. It later became an autonomous company reporting to the Ministry of Steel in 1978.

Mecon Limited requires Specialist/ Surgeon for Orthopaedics and Eye at ISPAT Hospital, Ranchi :

Specialist/ Surgeon fo Orthopaedics (E-2/E-3 Grade)
Number of vacancies : 01
Qualification : MBBS Degree with MS in Orthopaedics approved by the Indian Medical Council.

Specialist/ Surgeon fo Eye (E-2/E-3 Grade)
Number of vacancies : 01
Qualification : MBBS Degree with MS in Opthalmology approved by the Indian Medical Council

Renumeration : Grade E2 : Rs. 24900-3%-50500/- plus minimum Rs.11703/- Perks and allowances ( @ 47% of Basic pay ) , Grade E3 : Rs. 32900/-3%-58000/- plus minimum Rs.15463/- Perks and allowances ( @ 47% of Basic pay)

Experience : For E-2 grade: 4 years of experience after MS (Ortho)/ MS (Opthalmology) , For E-3 grade: 8 years of experience after acquiring MS (Ortho)/ MS (Opthalmology)
