Panjab University

Panjab University is one of the oldest universities  in India. The university campus is residential, spread over an area of 550 acres (2.2 km2) in sectors 14 and 25 of the city of Chandigarh. The main administrative and academic buildings are located in sector 14, beside a health centre, a sports complex, hostels and residential housing. The university has 58 teaching and research departments and 10 centres/chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh. It has 172 affiliated colleges spread over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh  and Chandigarh, Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, and Swami Sarvanand Giri Panjab University Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur.

Candidates are invited for the following teaching posts in Punjab University on temporary basis :

Principal  : 01 post, Walk-In on 04/07/2011Assistant Professors : 13 posts, Walk-In on 05/07/2011 and 06/07/2011

Application Fee :  Payee Bank Draft of the Rs. 375/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST category) payable at Chandigarh in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

How to Apply :
The candidates may bring Application form, duly filled in (9 photo-stat copies) with original and attested copies of certificates and for the post of Principal, 9 copies of Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) Proforma (available on University website) is also required.
