University of Calcutta


The University of Calcutta (also known as Calcutta University) (Bengali: ??????? ??????????????) is a public university located in the city of Kolkata (previously Calcutta), India, founded on 24 January 1857. It was the first multidisciplinary modern university in South Asia, as the oldest institution to have university status, Senate of Serampore College (University), Serampore[3] was granted freedom to grant degrees in theology only.


Calcutta University invites applications for the following posts:


Project Fellow
Pay Scale: Rs. 8000/-
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have M.Sc degree in Anthropology (Specialization in Biological Anthropology) with at least 55% of marks.
Location : Kolkata


How To Apply :
Interested candidates are requested to appear before a selection committee on 15th December, 2011 at 1.00 PM. in the Room of the Head, Department of Anthropology, University of Calcutta (Ballygunge Campus), 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata: 700019. Candidates are requested to bring two sets of complete applications furnishing Bio-data on plain paper attached with attested copy of testimonials and all the originals of the testimonials at the time of interview.
