Bose Institute

Bose Institute is a research institute in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Plant biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Animal physiology, Immunotechnology and Environmental science. The institute was established in 1917 by Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose, who was the founder of modern scientific research in India. Bose Institute pioneered the concept of inter-disciplinary research in India in synch with global trends. Its alumni have achieved renown in India and the world.

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow on the CSIR sponsored project entitled, “Mechanistic insights into dendritic cell maturation and its role in Leishmania donovani infection : Emphasis on dendritic cell-based anti-leishmanial therapy”

Fellowship : Rs 16,000/- p.m. for CSIR-UGC NET-JRF and Rs.12,000/- p.m. for CSIR-UGC NET-LS / GATE, plus admissible H.R.A. and Medical benifit
Qualifications : A good M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Physiology with CSIR-UGC NET-JRF or NET-LS / GATE qualification.
Age limit : Below 28 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only as per rule).

How to apply:
A walk-in-Interview will be held on 18.12.2012 at 12.00 noon in the Seminar Room of Microbiology Department at the Centenary Campus of Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme, VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata-700 054. Eligible and Interested candidates are requested to appear in person directly in the Interview with a typed/hand-written application addressed to the Registrar, Bose Institute, on plain paper quoting Advertisement No. on the envelope as well as application with complete biodata, giving e-mail ID and details of qualification (i.e. Examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards) with attested copies of Certificates, Marksheets and Testimonials. The candidates should also bring the original Marksheets, Certificates etc. at the time of interview.
