The Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training and comprises of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations who are appointed on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the Central Government from time to time. The Commission is provided such supporting staff as considered necessary by the Central Government

Applications are invited for the following posts in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India

Research Officer (Economics) Group B
No. of Vacancies : 07 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP 4,800/-
Qualifications : Honours degree or Post Graduation degree in Economics or Commerce from a recognised University or Institution.
Age limit : 30 years

Deputy Field Officer (Tele) Group B
No. of Vacancies : 100 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP 4,200/-
Qualifications : Degree in Science from recognized University/ Institution with Physics and Mathematics (studied for all the three years) or B.Sc(Hons) in Physics (with Mathematics for the first two years) from a recognized University/ Institution OR Diploma (03 Years duration) in Telecommunications or Radio Engineering or Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication OR Bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Applications or equivalent Diploma of a recognized institution OR Certificate of proficiency class-II (Radio Electronics) examination conducted by The Ministry of Communications.

Deputy Field Officer (GD)
No. of Vacancies : 77 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP 4,200/-
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree from a Recognized University/ Institution

Personal Assistant Group B
No. of Vacancies : 45 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP 4,600/-
Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institution or University. Skill Test Norms. Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 w.p.m. Transcription: 45 minutes (English), 60 minutes (Hindi) (on computer only)
Age limit : 30 years

Stenographer Group C
No. of Vacancies : 50 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 5,200-20,200 + GP 2,400/-
Qualifications : 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University.
ii) Skill Test Norms. Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (on computer only)
Age limit : 18-27 years
