Pondicherry University

Pondicherry University is a Central University in Pondicherry, India. Founded in 1985 by the Government of India,has emerged as India’s fastest growing Central University and it is an affiliating University with a jurisdiction spread over the Union Territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep  and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has 35000 students in its 87 affiliated colleges in addition to 5500 students enrolled on the main campus and another 27,000 students in the distance education mode. It is credited with being a pioneering distance-learning institution in India with innovations like Choice-based Credit System and on-line admission for postgraduate studies.

Junior Research Fellowship
Number of Positions: 09 (Nine)
Pay Scale: as per DBT norms.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Microbiology/ Pharmacology/ Chemical Sciences or any other areas of the Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks. Candidates must have cleared UGC/CSIR JRF/NET or equivalent examination.
Age Limit: 28 years

Senior Research Fellowship
Number of Positions: 03 (Three)
Pay Scale: as per DBT norms.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Microbiology / Pharmacology or any other areas of the life sciences with minimum 55% marks and with two years of research work experience as evidenced by published papers in standard refereed journals.
Age Limit: 32 years

Technical Officer Grade- I
Number of Positions: 01 (One)
Pay Scale: Rs. 20,000/-pm (fixed).
Educational Qualification: B.E./B. Tech./ M.Sc./ in Instrumentation or related areas with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.

Technical Assistant
Number of Positions: 01 (One)
Pay Scale: Rs. 15,000/-pm (fixed).
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with 55% or equivalent. Two years experience in relevant science laboratory.
Desirable:
Good command over English, and Computer program with experience in handling laboratory equipments and biological materials.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
