Kolkata Port Trust remains one of the pioneering and most promising ports of India. It has two dock systems – Kolkata Dock System at Kolkata with the oil wharves at Baj Baj and Haldia Dock Complex at Haldia – have a combination of facilities with a lot of attractive packages.

Haldia Dock Complex, Kolkata Port Trust intends to fill up 02 vacancies of Chief Engineer and 02 vacancies of Engineer-In-Charge ( 1 reserved for OBC candidate), both through direct recruitment, under Marine Operations Division of Haldia Dock Complex, as per the following eligibility criteria :

Chief Engineer
Number of Vacancies : 02 Post
Pay Scale : Rs.32900-58000/-
Qualification : 1st Class MOT (Combined or Motor) Certificate (or equivalent).
Experience : Experience of working as Chief Engineer of sea-going vessel for atleast 2 years
Age limit : 45 years (As on 01/04/2012).

Engineer-In-Charge
Number of Vacancies : 02 Post (OBC-1,UR-1)
Pay Scale : Rs.20600-46500/-
Qualification : Inland Engineers’ Certificate or 2nd Class MOT Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience : Experience of working as Watch Keeping Engineer on board a vessel for atleast 3 years.
Age limit : 35 years (As on 01/04/2012).
