Software Developer
We are looking for a developer who is enthusiastic about building cutting edge software on a multi-year long term initiative with Inputo, Stanford University, US and multiple state governments. The project has been funded by Google, US.
You should care about structured coding standards, about the efficiency of your code, responsiveness of user interfaces and usability. You must have written scalable front-end and back-end code as part of your past experience. You must have been active on developer-oriented communities. You must be familiar with development methodologies and open source initiatives.
Some of the initiatives you will be working on:
• Evaluate current communication technology platforms
• Configure open source tools to fit objectives
• Build a highly scalable mass communication platform
• Work closely with field personnel to refine solution
• Java, any other scripting language (php, perl, python)
• Web services, xml, json
• API design and development
• Must be familiar with communication technologies – sms, voice, web, email etc
• Must be familiar with multilingual support in multiple contexts
• Familiar with large scale database design
• Basic user experience design
• Must understand testing methodologies
• Have good communication and documentation skills
• Computer Science background
• Experience 0-5 years
