The Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) set up in 1954 is the only national center in the country where research in all disciplines relating to fishing and fish processing is undertaken. The institute started functioning at Cochin in 1957. Research centers function at Veraval (Gujarat), Visakhapatnam (AP), Burla (Orissa), Mumbai (Maharashtra).

Technical Assistant
Number of Positions: 06 (Six)
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20,200/-PM
Educational Qualification: 3 years Diploma/B.Tech in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. B.Sc. in Microbiology/Chemistry/ Biotechnology/B.Tech. in Biotechnology from a recognized university
Desirable: Experience in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Marine Engineering field. B.F.Sc./B.Sc. in Industrial Fisheries/ Food Science/Food Technology/ Chemistry/Zoology/B.Tech. in Food Technology from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 18-30 years
