It was established in its modern form in 1969 as a result of coordinated efforts initiated earlier. Taking into consideration its budget, it is probably one of the most efficient space organizations on the globe.

Technical Assistant : 22 posts in various disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800  + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-Technician : 14 posts in various disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

Junior Personal Assistant

Pay Scale : Rs. 5200 - 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-

Age Limit : 26 years as on 14-12-2011 (31 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 29 years for OBC candidates. Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders.)
