Job Designation: Engineer and Ship Surveyor-Cum-Deputy Director General Technical
Number of Positions: 24 (Twenty Four)
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- PB-3 Rs. 7600/- Grade pay Total emoluments excluding TA HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.38,280/-p.m. approximately .
Educational Qualification: The qualifications regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in respect posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable: One year experience in survey and inspection of merchant ship and one year experience in survey, inspection and examination of merchant ship.
Job Duties: Work in connection with Survey and Inspection of Machinery boiler and other mechanized equipments testing of materials used in ships, construction, repairs and Inspection, Examination of Engineers Engine Driver, performance of other statutory duties under M. S. Act, 1958 and Indian Steam Vessels Act.1917.
Age Limit: 50-55 years
