Export Inspection Council (EIC)

The Export Inspection Council (EIC) was set up by the Government of India under Section 3 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), in order to ensure sound development of export trade of India through Quality Control and Inspection and for matters connected thereof. Besides its advisory role, the Export Inspection Council, also exercises technical and administrative control over the five Export Inspection Agencies (EIAs), one each at Channai, Delhi, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai established by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, under Section 7 of the Act for the purpose of implementing the various measures and policies formulated by the Export Inspection Council of India.

The official export inspection and certification body of India established under Export (Quality Control & Inspection) Act, 1963 under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, needs professionals for appointment in Export Inspection Agencies having Head Offices at Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai and Kolkata with a network of 29 Sub-Offices including laboratories and invites applications for the posts as mentioned below in the prescribed format

Assistant Director
Number of Vacancies : 09 posts (UR-4,OBC-3,ST-2)
Pay Scale : PB-3; Rs.15600-39100 + GP 5400/-
Qualification : Degree in Engineering /Technology or Post Graduate in Science or its equivalent.
Age limit : 25-35 years

Technical Officer
Number of Vacancies : 07 posts (UR-2, OBC-2,ST-3)
Pay Scale : PB-2; Rs.9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200/-
Qualification : Degree in Engineering /Technology / Degree in Science (Preferable Honours/ Post Graduate)/ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.

Jr. Scientific Assistant

Pay Scale : PB-2; Rs.9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200/-
Qualification : Degree in Engineering /Technology / Degree in Science (Preferable Honours/ Post Graduate)/ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent

Laboratory Assistant Grade-II
Number of Vacancies : 18 posts (UR: 11, SC: 2, OBC: 4, ST: 1)
Pay Scale : PB-1; Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.1900/-
Qualification : High School or equivalent with Science subjects. Must have one year experience in testing
Age limit : 18-25 years
