The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is an autonomous statutory body established on 12 October 1993, under the provisions of The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993(TPHRA). TPHRA mandates the NHRC to perform proactively or reactively inquire into violations of human rights or negligence in the prevention of such violation by a public servant, undertake and promote research in the field of human rights.

Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 + GP Rs.10000/-
Qualification : (a) Empanelled All India or Central Service Officers;or (b) Officers ofEentralGovernm entbolding analogous posts on regular basis;or (c) Officers of Central Government holding the posts in the pay band PB-4 Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay Rs.87Q0 w ith 3 years regularservice in the grade;or (d) Officers of Central Government holding the posts in the pay band PB 3 R5.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600 w ith 8 years regular service in the grade
Age limit : 56 years
