Tea Board of India

The Tea Board India is an Indian Government-controlled organization that regulates the Indian trade in tea. It was established by the enactment of the Tea Act in 1953 with its headquarters in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). It is headed by the chairman Basudev Banerjee and separated into Standing Committees referred to as the Executive Committee, the Development Committee, the Labour Welfare Committee and the Export Promotion Committee. The Tea Board India is responsible for the assignment of certification numbers to exports of certain tea merchants.

Tea Board invites application for various categories of posts for its offices at different places as mentioned below

Controller of Licensing
Number of Vacancies : 01 post
Pay Scale : Rs 15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs 6,600/-
Qualification : Graduate from a recognized university. Familiarity with tea indsutry shall be treated as an added qualification.
Desirable : A degree in Law from a recognized university

Factory Advisory Officer
Number of Vacancies : 22 posts
Pay Scale : Rs 15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs 5,400/-
Qualification : Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Instrumentation or Agriculture Engineering from recognized university

Accounts Officer
Number of Vacancies : 02 posts
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800/- + GP Rs 4,600/-
Qualification : A degree of a recognized university. Must have passed the final examination of the institute of Chartered Accountants.

Jr Translator (Hindi)
Number of Vacancies : 1 post
Pay Scale : Rs 9,300-34,800/- + GP Rs 4,200/-
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university with Hindi and English as Subject.

Director of Tea Development
Number of Vacancies : 01 post
Pay Scale : Rs 37,400-67,000/- + GP Rs 8,700/-
Qualification : Science Degree in Science/Agriculture from recognized university. 10 years experience in tea plantations at the managerial level.
