The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (known as IIT Kanpur or IITK) is one of the Indian Institutes of Technology, set up in industrial city of Kanpur in 1959. IIT Kanpur has grown into one of the top technological institutes in India, primarily focused on research in engineering and science, and the teaching of undergraduates. IIT Kanpur has a sprawling campus spread over an area of approx. 4.3 square km, just north-west of the city. Among all IITs, IIT Kanpur has the second largest campus (1,055 acres), first being the IIT Kharagpur.
Applications are invited for ONE project associate position in a sponsored research project entitled “Hydro-meteorological Feedback and Changes in Water Storage and Fluxes in Northern Indian Basins” sponsored by NERC, UK and MOES (MOES /CE /20110267). Candidates can apply in one of the following two categories.
Senior Project Associate
Salary: Rs. 18000 – 15800 – 36000
Qualification: B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with two years experience/ M.Tech/Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Hydraulics and Water Resources)
Project Associate
Salary: Rs. 12000 – 1200 – 24000
Qualification: B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
Experience: Candidates with experience in river modelling, sediment transport, data analysis, remote sensing and GIS will be given preference.
Duration for the post is one year.
