Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL), Mumbai, an ISO 9001 : 2000 Company is one of the leading shipbuilding and offshore fabrication yards in India.  The Yard was established in the 18th century, and over the 200 odd eventful years, has earned a reputation for quality work and established a tradition of skilled and resourceful service to the shipping world in general and the Indian Navy, Coast Guard & ONGC in particular.  In its varied history, MDL passed through various ownerships like the P&O lines and the British India Steam Navigation Company

Application in the prescribed form are invited from Indian Nationals for the selection of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the following :

Group A (SSC Passed)
Fitter : 19 Posts
Electrician : 22 Posts
Fitter-Sctructural : 36 Posts
Pipe Fitter : 40 Posts

Stipend : 1st year Rs 1490/-, 2nd year Rs 1700/-, 3rd year Rs 1970/-
Qualification : The candidate should have passed SSC in First Attempt with General Science & Matheatics
Age limit : 15-19 years

Group B (ITI Passed)
Fitter-Structural : 10 Posts
Painter (General) : 15 Posts
Carpenter : 15 Posts
Electronic  Mechanic : 15 Posts

Qualification : The candidate shouldh have passed ITI in first attemp in trade of Fitter/Painter/Carpenter/Electronic Mechanic from Government recognized institute

Group C (8th Class Passed)
Rigger : 20 Posts
Welder (G&E) : 21 Posts

Stipend : 1st year Rs 1490/-, 2nd year Rs 1700/-
Qualification : The candidate should have passed 8th Class examination under (10+2) system in first attempt
