Cochin Shipyard Limited

Cochin Shipyard Limited was incorporated in the year 1972 as a fully owned Government of India company. In the last three decades the company has emerged as a forerunner in the Indian Shipbuilding & Shiprepair industry. This yard can build and repair the largest vessels in India. It can build ships upto 1,10,000 DWT and repair ships upto 1,25,000 DWT. The yard has delivered two of India’s largest double hull Aframax tankers each of 95,000 DWT . CSL has secured shipbuilding orders from internationally renowned companies from Europe & Middle East and is nominated to build the country’s first indigenous Air Defense Ship.

ITI Trade Apprentices
Number of Vacancies : 360 Posts
Trades : Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Draftsman Mechanic, Painter (General), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Sheet Metal Worker, Shipwright Wood, Mechanic Diesel, Fitter Pipe
Stipend : During the one year training period candidates selected as Apprentices will be paid a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/- during the first year and 4000/- during the second year as applicable.
Age limit : Age 18 to 25 years as on 31 Aug 2012.
