National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH)

National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH) established in 1970 presently located in the Eastern part of Ahmedabad. The major objectives of the Institute and its centers are to identify and mitigate the occupational and environmental health problems in the country. At present, the Institute has the state-of-art analytical facilities for metals, pesticides, persistent toxic substances and other chemicals. Molecular biology facilities and other laboratories are also being upgraded.

Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled up under the time bound research project entitled “Effect of Indoor Air Pollution on Women and Children in India” sponsored by ICMR at National Institute of Occupational Health, Ahmedabad. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project:

Senior Research Fellow
Number of Vacancies : 02 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 18,000/- + 20% HRA p.m.
Qualification : M. Sc. degree in Chemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records and TWO years research experience in the related field. OR M.Sc. degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records and TWO years research experience in the related field.
Age limit : 35 years

Research Assistant
Number of Vacancies : 02 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 22,120/- p.m.
Qualification : M. Sc. degree in Chemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records OR M.Sc. degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records.
